Today's post is about the Plush Party Buy One Get One for $5 sale going on at Disney Store online and in stores.
What it is: This is a deal where, when you buy one stuffed plush toy, you can get a second for $5
Who it's for: anyone who was looking to get a set of plush toys (you wouldn't want to separate Mickey and Minnie would you? You monster!) or anyone with more than one kid who knows they can't ever buy just ONE toy without chaos and crying ensuing.
Where to Get it: This sale is available online here or in your local Disney store. I confirmed that this sale is going on at our local Disney Outlet store as well so, it's likely the others are participating too.
What it Costs: As with any BOGO sale, you will pay full price for one item and then get the deal for a second item of equal or lesser value. Prices range from $5.95 - 39.95 for plush eligible for this deal.
"Best" Deal: On the Disney Store website, the biggest bang for your buck will be buying one of the large Mickey or Minnie plush toys listed at $39.95 and getting a second one (or completing the set by getting the other character... stop trying to split Mickey and Minnie up!) for $5.
"Worst" Deal: On the Disney Store website, the least bang for your buck with this deal is Tsum Tsums. They're cute but, they only cost $5.95. So, you pay $5.95 for the first one and $5 for the second one.
That's only a savings of about $0.95. Not the best deal, but if you're collecting Tsum Tsums, every little bit helps.
You'll note that "best" and "worst" are always in quotes when I discuss whether something was a good deal because, as we all know, a sale is only a good deal if its on something you were planning to buy anyway.
My Thoughts: This sale is interesting to me because, last year, around this time, Disney had a buy one, get one for $1 sale on plush. Clearly, this sale is not quite as good as that one was but, I'm also not sure that that sale was offered on higher priced items like the large Mickey listed above.
This might still be a good deal for you, especially if you're planning on buying multiple plush toys this year. The way I use sales like this is to think of all of the kids' birthdays and christmas toys I need to buy for for the rest of the year and then go ahead and stock up. Especially if you're planning on buying 4 or more of the medium sized (around $20 each) or larger plush toys, this is probably a good sale for you.
What do you think? Will you be buying toys in this sale? what do you think about the change from last year? Let me know in the comments!
