Back to School shopping can be expensive so, our pals at Disney are giving us a break with a sale!
This sale is going on both online and in your local Disney Store.
Who it's for: Anyone buying Back-to-School stuff.
What's on Sale: Backpacks and Lunch Totes
Worthy of Note: The ad says that "select styles" of backbacks are on sale for $15. That is true, but when we went to the Disney Store, we found that the rolling backpacks (which are generally more expensive) were also on sale, but for $25. So, if you wanted a rolling backpack, you may be able to find one at a pretty good price.
It is also worth noting that, in addition to backpacks and lunch totes, Disney is also having sales on school supply zipper-kits in a variety of themes (Frozen, Cars, etc.) for $8.
Also on sale are the Disney water bottles for $6.
Both of those sales are also available both online and in-store.
My thoughts: If you really want to buy from the Disney Store, these are not terrible deals. However, if all you're looking for is to get a Disney backpack, Walmart has a pretty wide variety ranging from just under $10 to around $12. (view these here) Clearly, this is a cheaper way to get a Disney backpack.
However, when it comes to the zipper kits of Disney school supplies, that $8 price point is actually pretty competitive. Just a Disney pencil case by itself will run you anywhere from around $8-14 at Walmart so, the $8 set from the Disney Store is a better deal by comparison. Likewise, most Disney water bottles at Walmart will run you $10+, so the ones at Disney Store are a decent deal at $6.
Note, although they may not have kits and all of the extra pieces, if you're just looking for some Disney pencils or crayons, it's always a good idea to check your local dollar store. They often have Disney licensed merchandise at the lowest prices available.
