Today's Find of the Day is the Fantasyland Mini "Tsum Tsum" Plush Collection!
How cute are they?! Ok, so, this is really 7 finds instead of just one, but I LOVE these, so that's what we're going to talk about.
Let's start with Jingles: Jingles is a carousel horse from Fantasyland. If you're familiar with the Kingdom Keepers book series then you know that Jingles plays a big role in one of the books and that the Disneyland carousel horses, Jingles especially, have a really interesting backstory. Suffice it to say, he's a very important horse.
Up Next is Sorcerer Mickey: His little hat may be the cutest thing I'v ever seen. Fun Fact: Mickey first wore that hat in Fantasia when he plays the apprentice to the great sorcerer, Yensid. Yensid is Disney backwards.
You can't have Mickey without Minnie! Ok, I was wrong, her princess hat is the cutest thing I've ever seen. They used to sell conical princess hats like this in Fantasyland back in the 90s. My sister and I each still have one somewhere. Adorable.
A key attraction in Fantasyland is the Small World ride. Here we have two characters represented in Tsum Tsum: A Hippo and a Boy from Mexico. The cute, tiny hats just keep on coming with this one. The little boy from Mexico is adorable. Although the animatronic dolls of children singing the infamous "It's a Small World" song are what most people think of about this ride, there are actually many animals depicted as well. The hippos are just one example. I recently read fun list of Small World facts you can find here.
Next up, no, that's not Flounder, that's a Teacup. This is a teacup from the Mad Tea Party ride. It's a little easier to tell what it is from the side since we're not really used to them having faces. This was my favorite ride at Disney when I was little so, I'm glad they included it.
Last, but far from being least: Mr. Toad!!! Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is an iconic Disney ride. Although it was taken out of Disney World years ago and replaced by a Winnie the Pooh ride, Mr. Toad is still going strong at Disneyland and, for a lot of us, he's still a fan favorite.
What it is: a collection of 7 Tsum Tsums representing iconic Fantasyland from Disneyland.
Why it's the Find of the Day: There are a lot of Tsum Tsums out there but very few Parks Tsum Tsums. (In fact, this is one of only two Parks Tsum Tsum sets. The other is here and will probably be the Find of the Day tomorrow because it is also awesome.) The Parks element makes these so cool. Also, the fact that they are unusual subjects like a Teacup from the Mad Tea Party and the Hippo from Small World makes them unusual and very fun.
Who it's for: Anyone who collects Tsum Tsums, anyone who loves Fantasyland, and anyone who specifically loves any of these attractions. Specifically, people who call Disney World their home park and remember Mr. Toad with bittersweet fondness may want to pick that one up and cherish the memories. Also, anyone who reads Kingdom Keepers is probably going to want Jingles.
What it Costs: These Tsum Tsums are $5.95 each plus shipping and tax, HOWEVER, the sale on Parks merch that is ending today DOES apply to these guys. That means you can get 25% off of each of these Tsum Tsums as well as free shipping when you enter promo code PARKDEALS at checkout. That deal is slated to end today so, hurry if you want one.
What do you think? Will you be buying one? Which one is your favorite? Is there anything cuter than Minnie's tiny hat? Let me know in the comments!
