Find of the Day - Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa Bed Runner

Hey Disney Fans!

Today's Find of the Day is the Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa Bed Runner.

This beautiful bedrunner is available from the Disney Store for $200.

What it is: A bedrunner is a piece of decorative fabric that goes at the foot of a made-bed. These are a part of a recent trend in hotel décor where, instead of having bedspreads, beds have sheets and comforters in white or neutral colors with just a pop of color and design coming from the runner at the end of the bed. It gives a really clean a beautiful look to a bed.

What it Costs: $200 plus shipping and tax.

How to Get it: this bedrunner is available here from the Disney Store online. These should also be available at Aulani but, that's always subject to availability. I would not expect to find these in local Disney stores or outlet stores.

Why it's a Find of the Day: First of all, it's beautiful. I love the simplicity of the white and blue with the wonderful island-inspired pattern. It's subtle enough that it would look beautiful in a variety of styles of rooms but it's still distinctly Aulani.

However, my absolute FAVORITE part of this, and the reason it's a Find of the Day, is because of the Hidden Mickeys. I love Disney but, I don't necessarily want every room of my house filled with cartoon characters everywhere (not judging, if that's your thing, please tell me about it in the comments). The subtle Hidden Mickeys of this bedrunner might not even be noticed by a non-Disneyphile guest, but knowing they're there just makes me smile.

One thing I love about some of the Disney resorts, deluxe resorts especially, is the way that, rather than decorating with a purely cartoon-y style, they each have a style (e.g. Pacific Northwest, Victorian, Polynesian, etc.) all their own and the Disney magic is just woven into each resort's chosen theme. So far, there are not that many pieces offered for Disney home décor sold to fans that allow Disney fans to similarly choose a sophisticated style but still mix in a little Disney magic. This bedrunner from Aulani as well as a few other pieces like the items from the Indigo collection are the beginning of what I hope will be a trend toward more of that type of merchandise.

What do you think? Do you like the bedrunner? Do you hate it? Do you decorate with Hidden Mickeys? Let me know in the comments!
