Special Report: Hocus Pocus Limited Release Clothing!

I have a Special Report for you today: Hocus Pocus Limited Release Clothing!

What it is: This is a Limited Release of clothing themed on the 1993 cult-classic Halloween film: Hocus Pocus.

Who it's for: Children of the 90's. I mean, technically, other people might like this too, but let's be real here: If you used to wear scruchies in your hair, if you know who JTT was, and if your heart will go on, you've probably seen this film and you probably loved it.

What it Costs: Most of the T-shirts in this collection are $29.99, but there is a hoodie priced at $59.99 (whoof) and one T-shirt available at $27.99. As we've seen with pretty much all of the Limited Release T-shirts lately (read about Pete's Dragon, YesterEars, and Nightmare Before Christmas Limited Release tees that have been recent specials) these t-shirts are expensive, but Disney has included a promotion.

The promotion here is Buy One Get One 40% off. As one might expect, the item of equal or lesser value will get the 40% off. So, your best overall value for money here would be to buy two of the $29.99. If you do that, you will save $12 and pay a total (before shipping and tax) of $47.98 rather than $59.98. In other words, this promotion will give you your t-shirts for an average of around $24 each. That is still not cheap. In fact, if you look back at those other deals listed above, this is pretty much the least discounted we have seen Limited Release Tees yet.

How to Get it: These Hocus Pocus clothes are available online or by phone. They may be available other places as well but the promotion is only available online and over the phone. You don't need a promo code, the discount will automatically be taken.

My Thoughts: Well... as I mentioned above, the promotion itself is not a particularly good deal. However, as I always say with these Limited Release tees, it's really more a matter of perspective. If you loved this movie and have really happy memories of it, this may be your only chance to own one of these t-shirts and it might be worth it.

As far as Disney movies go, this is not necessarily the most famous movie, so your chances of getting more/other merchandise any time soon is probably not that great. In short, if it makes you happy just to look at these shirts, you should probably go ahead and buy one.

From a different perspective: if you don't know that much about this movie/aren't all that into Halloween, but your office dresses up, or your kids are expecting you to dress up for a party or event, buying one of these t-shirts would be a great compromise as far as costumes go. You're comfortable in a nice t-shirt, but you still look like you dressed up in a costume. Not everyone is a huge fan of dressing up for Halloween and I definitely think these shirts could be an out.
